What fuzz, OD or Distortion would you folks recommend as a "do all" choice for a variety of musical styles from the blues to Jeff Beck/EJ tones based on a strat, delay, wah and a Marshall? The closest I have achieved is the London Fuzz Germanium as it cleaned up very well and had a variety of tones from clean to violin type lead tones. Unfortunately, I have yet to delve into the Two Rocks or Glasworks offerings etc. I think this is my favorite "base tone" after years of experimenting with different effects, amps and different circuits. I really love the straight tone of my strat into my em-5 echomachine into my Ceriatone Bass JMP 50 watt Plexi. Trying to go with only a wah, (Fuzz,OD, or Dist) and echo for some ambiance.
